Recently due to ailing economy and resultant hardship, politicians and public figures have come under intense pressure to assist their constituencies and communities. Of course by the nature of public offices they occupy, they're morally obliged to notice the underprivileged, indigent and dilapidating environment and take action.
How they respond depends on who they are; nature of services they render to the people and mindset. Very often the temptations to respond through cash donations or promissory notes become irrisistible.
